These 3rd party verification systems were established by Build-It-Green and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), organizations dedicated to promoting green building of new homes. They are essentially checklists to ensure maximized energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources with utmost sensitivity to their impacts.
